Ouch. About the only thing interesting about women’s volleyball, well, let me put it this way: there’s no way radio can accurately convey it.
Listening to women’s volleyball (hardcourt or beach) on the radio is like listening to a radio show about a fine arts gallery, both being more interesting than RR of course :)
Do you think Talk Radio just appeals to conservatives more than to liberals? Or do you think that the Talk Radio audience would dwindle if all the alphabet networks were suddenly fair and balanced? Not necessarily conservative, just fair?
One theory is that many “liberals” have never thought very much about what they believe and especially why they believe it – so it is hard to hold their attention on a liberal talk show. Several folks have tried doing formula balanced talk (usually Bad Conservative Man paired with Compassionate thoughtful Woman) and that generally goes nowhere. The opposite might be quite entertaining… pair Ann Coulter with Ron Kuby… Dick Cheney’s daughter with Montel Williams.
