Washington Times cuts staff 40% or more – WorldNet Daily’s inside sources were accurate. The Washington Times notified its workers today that 40% or more of them will be unemployed in 60 days.
The paper will continue to print a newspaper with limited circulation, mostly as a free newspaper in areas where Federal workers are employed. The news will also to availalbe on a subscription basis online. At least for now, the morning radio show will continue, although with the loss of much of the news staff, there will be less news to report.
I wonder if the Washington Examiner has nipped at their heels (in addition to the slowdown throughout the newspaper industry). I noticed when I was in DC this summer that the Examiner had a conservative slant and was distributed freely all over the city.
