Burning wood in your fireplace – I’m thinking I should mention the reason for pollls over here. They are often inspired by something I’ve heard while testing. Of course sometimes they are just random synapses firing off.
Today’s “poll” is due to something I heard on a San Franisco radio station. It was informing their audience that it is now illegal to burn wood in your fireplace or stove if some smog person somewhere has declared a smog alert for the Bay Area… more laws = more criminals = more polar bears.
Get ready – CO2 is officially pollution now, thanks in part to George Bush not fighting. So virtually everthing related to your life can now be regulated by international orgnanizations, even if health care doesn’t pass.
Possibly related, I was listening to Mr BBQ from Texas who passed along the interesting information that the beef industry is making a choice to slaughter cattle at a younger age now. The result will be that steaks (and portion sizes) will be smaller.
