Glenn Beck isn’t on in Boston (yet) – WRKO was carrying his weekend show, but not during the week. That will change April 1st when Clear Channel launches their new news/talk station.
Why I bring that up is the Scott Brown race…. that means most of Boston didn’t hear about this Tea Party stuff on the radio from Beck (they surely did on Fox News on Cable). If Glenn had been on the radio in Boston, I would how much different it would have been….
The person primarily responsible for pushing Scott Brown was Howie Carr on WRKO. He started his own campaign last summer with Brown as a frequent guest on his show. Howie’s dislike of the Kennedy’s is legendary. The day after the election, Howie’s phone lines were on fire with people calling in to thank him. I doubt that Glenn Beck could have had the same effect.
