With the FCC putting the finishing touches on its proposed National Broadband Plan FCC chairman Julius Genachowski said a goal of 100 Mbps Internet service will be proposed for the plan.
In a speech Tuesday at a meeting of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, Genachowski, who has made widespread broadband deployment a prime FCC goal, compared the rollout of high speed broadband to the deployment of electricity and the spread of telephone service in the 1930s.
i actually found one website that manage to see what the hell these morons at FCC are trying to get away with:

does this p#$$ anyone else off – where in the hell do these idiots come from and where in the hell do they think they get their authority??
The FCC gets its power from the same place the Federal Government gets the power to tell you how many gallons of water your toilet can flush….
Here are the related “polls” from back in 2008 / 2009
Julius Genachowski was co-editor of the Harvard Law Journal with Barack Obama

Chairman Martin (the prior chairman) declared that broadband access is a basic right and that it should be free to everyone:

“Net Neutrality” is the wedge that Congress is pushing to give the FCC broad powers to make the Internet “fair”.
The internet was the creation of the government. The idea that they would not step in to control it after every aspect of our lives is dependent on it was naive.
he knows he’s overstepping:
