Large numbers of minorities and pork-loving southern white Dems in Louisiana, I guess? You could also ask why Kay Hagan of NC for instance didn’t even ask for a bribe, and there was no significant outrage (although her numbers are in the gutter). The answer would be the same.
Another motivation that conservatives have in NE that they don’t in LA and NC is that Nelson’s election is only two years away.
I agree…there’s an entirely different mentality between LA and NE.
I’ll never forget seeing the pictures of LA during Katrina. People waiting to be rescued, but thousands of cars lined up and down the flooded streets. They all want to government to rescue them. Nebraskans are far more self-sufficient.
