Randi Rhodes is gone from WJNO…. this is not just your ordinary affiliate change. WJNO is where Rhodes was before Air America. After A/A dumped her for calling Hillary Clinton “a F-ing Whore”, she did her show from WJNO for Nova M. When they went belly up, she went to work for Premiere in her current syndication. WJNO is owned by Clear Channel, which owns Premiere. She has been replaced by Todd Schnitt’s syndicated program from Dial Global (the folks who syndicate Ed Schultz, Tom Hartmann, Stephanie Miller).
Her program has been moved to WBZT-AM, a weaker station in the Miami market that carries mostly brokered programming, WOR Network, and programming aimed at Senior Citizens….
When I was living and working in Palm Beach, this creature would regularly call Limbaugh a ‘shmuck’ and go on self-delusional fulminations about how her ratings are actually better than Limbaugh’s. She is a petty vulgar ‘Joan Rivers’ has-been of talk radio who in her most notable period of radio life amounted to nothing more than a audio shiksa.
Speaking of vulgar, have you ever heard Mike Malloy? The only reason he doesn’t get fined by the FCC is nobody listens to his show.
Tammy Bruce also went down the path of thinking she had ratings better than Limbaugh because she directed listeners to a web site similar to this, and her 20 listeners a day shot her to the top of the list. She was more interesting than some of the people still on the air, but you’re taking a big leap of faith to think you can draw a big audience on podcast only and earn an income.
Not here to defend Randi at all, but WJNO had her on delay this time around while her live show was on another station (according to her website). She always followed Limbaugh.
I don’t listen to her but she probably had a hissy fit at WJNO for not puting her in her old timeslot, and replacing her old slot with Hannty.
