Barbara Walters says she thinks Glenn Beck is an intelligent man, and he reads a lot. I guess this means the Whoppi Goldberg / Amtrak thing has been straightened out. I wonder if “The View” ran a retraction…

I have no idea what the real story was there, but he seemed like a wimp when he was on their show. Looked like he couldn’t defend what he had said. But since Goldberg is a lunatic, I never have a hard time believing any negative story about her.
Well, there were two basic issues. Amtrak violated their own policy and “reserved” a table for Barbara and Whoopi. After Glenn mentioned that on the air, most of his appearance on the view was Whoppi Goldberg calling him a liar. Amtrak later confirmed they did in fact violate their policy and held the table for them.
The second issue was even more petty, but Whoppi also pounced on it as evidence that Glenn is a liar – it was over who said “hello” to whom first.
