Help please. Don’t know where else to go. WMP isn’t working on one of my laptops. (I hate it when stuff happens). When I go to options under tools in WMP and click the network tab, the section for “streaming proxy settings” is BLANK. Why and is this why streams aren’t playing. And how do I fix it?
My other laptop Says” HTTP Proxy and RTSP None” in that box for streaming proxy settings. Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you’re at work behind a firewall, you don’t need a proxy or its settings. The WMP error message lists proxy as one possible cause. More likely the server is down.
Rather than doing this in the blog, there is a link under the streaming links to diagnose problems – or at least gather the information so I can try to identify a cause.
I am sorry- i am dumb. Can you post that link for me here? Many thanks.
Look for “Broken?” under any stream that isn’t working
