We’re now just arguing about price… B…

We’re now just arguing about price… Back when I was young and impressionable, one of the “Aha!” moments in my life was the moment I realized what a slimeball Johnny Carson was. This goes back to the days where NBC erased all the tapes, so it lingers only in my mind. Johnny had some Hollywood actress on the program and lobbed out the ploy… “Would you have sex with me for a million dollars?”… “Okay, now we know what you are, we’re just haggling over the price”…
[after thinking about it a while, if I was a woman and someone said that to me, my response would be “Put a million dollars on the table, and you’ll find out the answer to your question”]

Republicans should make it clear in no uncertain terms that the issue here isn’t how the CBO “scores” the cost of the bill, or how much money gets spread around or to whom. It’s the principle that matters – that it isn’t the Federal Government’s job to regulate insurance, nor is it within their powers to mandate that its citizens purchase a product that the government designates just because we are alive.
