Economic Recovery? Not here – No more Tail for sale. Tailgators is a sports bar / restaurant on one of the busiest corners in town. You can apparently order fried alligator there – I’ve never been inside the place.
On a slightly related note, last night I ate at Cracker Barrel – I almost had the place to myself. It’s right on I-95, and normally you would have to wait in line for half an hour for a table. My sense is they have already caved in on the “let’s take salt out of the food”. threat from the President and his allies. Either my sense of taste is changing (possible) or they are throwing their business under the bus by destroying the flavor in their food. When the FDA came out and declared that it would be improper for restaurants to serve ground beef cooked less than medium, they were one of the first to cave and refuse to serve ground beef medium rare. (What ever happened to the right to privacy between me and my chef?)
I can tell the ones that have caved by those that say…..”Sorry, we can only burn our meat to a crisp”. We have seen a couple of our once FAV places cut back on quality. YUCK…..I like my beef, burgers & steaks, RARE…..The places that won’t now have the frozen “pre-patties”…..
