Bill Press is on vacation this week – yesterday, his group of fill-in people made a staggeringly racist remark.
They were generally talking about Alvin Greene in South Carolina, who is the black man who won the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senator with no campaign, no money, no organization.
They were talking about him again because South Carolina law enforcement have been “investigating” him for criminal charges to see how a black man could possibly have saved $10k to pay the filing fee. Turns out it was his own money – which he had saved from his military pension and unemployment checks. It’s worth mentioning the investigation was requested by Chip Limehouse, a Republican – who is still not satisfied with the answer.

Also, Greene now has a lawyer to help defend him against the FELONY charge that he showed a white college student pornographic images on a computer in a library – now that he has a lawyer, the case has been postponed “indefinitely”.
So the hosts just threw in… “Maybe he should have Mel Gibson as his running mate”…. overlooking the obvious non-sequitur that people running for the U.S. Senate don’t have “running mates”, that is pretty overt racism against Mr Greene.
It is interesting that the Dems want to “investigate” Alvin Greene’s financial backing, but the fact that Obama’s funding came from dubious sources (Tony Resko, George Soros, et. al.) doesn’t faze them. Their racism is both blatant and convenient.
In my opinion, the “progressive” left is far more racist that conservative right. The progressives want to build up their voter base by keeping poor people in poverty thus encouraging them to vote progressive to keep the “government gravy train” flowing.
I feel that most conservatives would not have a problem with somebody rising out of poverty to the middle or upper class if they did it through hard honest work, not the redistribution of wealth.
