Carlos Slim and the NY Times

This week, every major publication in New York – except the NY Times – ran a story about Carlos Slim, one of the richest men in the world buying the only townhouse left on 5th Avenue for around $44 million.
Example

Right now, I’m listening to a podcast called NYTimes.com Weekend Business – talking about Carlos Slim’s deal with JP Morgan/Chase to attempt to buy a loan owed by Comcast, which is a direct competitor of Telefutura, which he controls and has prior disputes with.

Nowhere during that story did the NY Times disclose that Carlos Slim is a major investor in the NY Times. He was the Mexican investor who rushed in as the NY Times was hurtling towards insolvency about 2 years ago and rescued it.

One Response to Carlos Slim and the NY Times

  1. HPaws says:

The NYT, Rangel, Obama and other obtuse socialist parasites are working for glorious goals and can’t be bound or tethered by bourgeois common decency, or ethics, or humility. If you can’t perceive the grand heights they want to take YOU then you are just a running dog of capitalist extraction.
