“Repeal Obamacare” – Part 2

I doubt the owner of WorldNet Daily is genuinely this stupid.
WND: Repeal Obamacare this session?

To repeat my prior message, “Anyone who tells you they are going to repeal ObamaCare before 2012 is lying”.

President Obama is not going to sign a bill repealing his signature legislation. That means both houses would have to override a veto, requiring 67 Senate votes. If the Republicans win every race in November (not going to happen), they would have 59 Senators. That’s not even enough to prevent a Democratic minority filibuster to block Republican bills even if it wasn’t facing an Obama veto. The senate was built this way on purpose to prevent wild swings back and forth in elections and keep a somewhat stable government. The US is not a Democracy, and that’s a good thing, even if short term you don’t like the consequences.

If people swarm to Republicans in November believing a lie, when the Republicans are unable to pass a single piece of legislation, the backlash against Republicans in 2012 will be intense. People need to be honest in their understanding of what is and isn’t possible.

If he knows that what he is proposing can not happen, what is the real motivation?
