Polls – one more time…

Almost from the beginning, registered users have had the ability to create a poll, not just me – but it was pretty user-hostile.  I’ve added a lot of capabiilty now to the polls, mostly because I want to be able to create and maintain them without needing a PC, using only the web.

Things you can do now that you didn’t used to be able to do:

  • Change the answers after the poll is created (including deleting answers you don’t like
  • Completely resetting the poll and starting over
  • Selecting a graphic from the web server’s list of graphics
  • Choosing if other people can add new answers and whether they can see the results without answering the poll
  • Choosing a poll category
  • Viewing what the poll looks like from editor

Polls still won’t show up online until I look them over to make sure the poll won’t bring the hounds of hell to my door, but short of that I let the polls through.   They don’t have to match my “style” and don’t have to have anything to do with Radio or Streaming

You’ve made a lot of improvements. Unfortunately, I hit the ‘don’t show this anymore’ button by mistake. I’ve looked in vain for a way to undo that, but haven’t found one yet. I log out to look at what’s new. If you’ve got a fix, let me know.

The most straight forward way is to go to Preferences when you’re logged in. There is a button to turn polls on/off

Or reload a page with a poll and there will be a link that says “Show Polls” where the poll would normally appear.
