Time on Libya

At least it includes some recognition of World War II history in the area, and a quote from George Patton…

One of the best descriptions I’ve read so far.

Libya also has a Navy – at some point, you can count of them setting up a sea blockade of Benghazi.   If the US Navy (or Air Force) starts sinking Iraqi military boats in their own territorial waters, that also creates an act of war with us being the aggressor.

What Benghazi wants is for the world to recognize its provisional government as the legitimate government of all of Libya (because?…) and have all the oil money sent to them.   The threat is that if oil companies pay Qadaffi for the oil, the provisional goverment will make them pay for the same oil a second time after they “win”.

It feels like we’re paying double already ……

If John Kerry bombs the runways of the airports, how will the UN fly in its humanitarian aid? Or will the aid only go to cities on the correct side?
