This week’s John Derbyshire podcast at National Review Online paints what may be the next chapter in the War of North Africa. It’s certainly in line with Qadaffi’s threat.
It goes like this – you have increasingly secular Europe with the lowest birth rates in the world. Along the north coast of Africa you have a group of Arab countries – moderately modern, having children at replacement levels – then you have black subsaharan Africa – illiterate, disease ridden, And producing 6-9 children per family.
Europe has been propping up the governments of Northern Africa to hold back the flow of black illegal immigrants eager to eat at the trough of European Social Democracies. Since Europe is now on record to use force to protect civilians, Europe is about to have a tsunami of Black people. It wouldn’t surprise me if Qadaffi organizes the buses to head to Chad, Nigeria and Sudan, assisting his neighbors to flood Europe. Is France prepared to sink boats full of unarmed civilians just yearning to be free?
No, England might (doubtful though), France, Germany – no. Italy will get a spasm of backbone but in the end, no. I have no idea about Spain. Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead. Ireland saved western civilization once, will it fall to them again or will it be camps in Montana and Idaho? I am stunned and numbed that modern American liberals and radicals have convinced two and a half generations that our exceptional civilization is not worth fighting for and preserving. All that matters now is appearances, children. Substance is the illusion.
France’s main defense against subsaharan immigration has been “You have to speak fluent French” in order to become a French citizen. Since France had a couple colonies in France, there are several sources of large numbers of French Speaking black Africans. Ivory Coast (currently in a civil war of its own) is one of them. The reason France wants to stop the civil war there is to avoid a flood of Ivory Coasters all heading to France.
The Derb also makes the point that Represenative King was a vocal supporter of the IRA when it was blowing up things in England, so he’s quite the hypocrite
