Looks like Nancy Pelosi overplayed her hand and announced the “decision” she had made, not what Rangel actually agreed to. Rangel is not stepping aside and will force them to force him out.
John Batchelor, being the historian he is, points out this has happened before. Adam Clayton Powell held the Harlem seat before Rangel – and similarly was forced out by White Democrats when he got too powerful because of the seniority system and started wielding real power.
Art, Smerconish is what I call, a Philadelphia Republican. He says what he says and then when a Democrat calls he says. “I see your point, I agree with you”.
Rangel? Well I was wondering when they were going to get to him. The NY Post has been reporting about his shananigans for over a year. And with at least five investigations and the upcoming midterms. Something had to happen.
Smerconish talked the other week about changing his affiliation from Republican.

Hey, Mike… we start to catch on to you when you say that about literally every single topic.
He isn’t a particularly good host, either. He’s an even bigger self-promoter than Sean Hannity. Which is amazing considering that unlike Smerconish, Hannity actually does something other than the radio show.
