Stern? On the same station as IMUS?

    Aren’t you forgeting something?

That imus has prostate cancer or that they’re -currently- on at the same time… Or that Farid Suleman used to work for Mel Karmazin when he employed Don Imus and Howard Stern at Infinity?

I was just going to say they have a history of not liking each other (going back to WNBC66) and if Stern was to come back to the airwaves he would go to a station where the first thing he could do is crush Imus on the first ratings book.

And this is just me, but I see Stern going back to FM, not AM. At least from his base station. If your taking bets, put me down for he returns to the New York airwaves on RXP 101.9.

The big phoney baloney we know everything about music but the first thing we did when we took over was fire Dennis Quinn who had been at that station for about 30 years through all the format changes.

And anybody who lived in the New York area knew that station went through format changes more then Prince went through reincarnations.

Howard Stern is 56 years old, as much as he may want to ignore that. The people who grew up with him are now spending time playing with their grandchildren and thinking about when they will have their hip replacement and cataract surgeries… they’re moving out of the 18-54 demo. The 1980s are over, the Beatles aren’t coming back, Elvis is probably dead, life moves on.
