Native American Child Molestors – Beck is reporting on a person asking Representative Grayson of Florida about a House provision to provide funding for Native American Child Molestors.
Here is a defender of that point of view.
The funding is for treatment services of victims of sexual abuse and treatment of the perpetrators. The person asking the question missed the opportunity to really frame the argument instead of just making it look kooky. IF federal money for treating child abuse is a good thing, why did Congress single out Native Americans? Why isn’t the money available for everyone? Is Congress saying that Native Americans have more of a problem with this?
(I suspect the answer actually has to do with the way Native Americans have special legal treatment under the law – but imagine if some Republican proposed a law to provide special funding for Indians to combat alcoholism….)
There is NO viable treatment for sex offenders. Therapies work to prevent follow through on impulses, and castration makes offenders violent and more likely to turn into murderers. The upshot – treatment for the victims is reasonable, but spending money on perps is nothing more than welfare for social workers and shinks.
Bingo!
Some other good news – as the details of Obamacare leak out, one of the cost saving measures is to empty out the psychiatric hospitals
