Art, no it’s not their normal mode. Rose Somma Tennant recently had an accident during the aftermath of the snowstorms near her home (I believe). She slipped on the ice while trying to get into her car, and she hurt her back pretty seriously. She had some surgery, and has been recovering at home since the end of February or early March.
She has a remote setup, but sometimes when their network flagship can’t get that fired up, she’ll call in. You may or may not have heard Jim Quinn introduce Rose as “Brokeback Mama, coming to you from the couch!”
She is scheduled to appear at a TEA Party rally in Pittsburgh this Thursday, and she’s still talking like she’s going to be there, so that’s good news I guess. Prayers for her recovery.

Thanks for the info – I did hear some reference to her back, but was unable to find the details. I haven’t listened in months – today’s paraphrasing of a verse from the Jewish prophet Hosea – who God ordered to marry a Harlet 3000 years ago – reminded me why I don’t listen to the show any more.
