Finally – Fukushima gets smart

The description of the video I saw was not accurate, but what I saw is brilliant.

There are trucks normally used for the purpose of pumping concrete into buildings under construction – they can reach up many stories and take concrete from arriving trucks and boost it up to the workers many stories above.   They’re using it to pump sea water (assumption) into the fuel storage tank.

The beauty part is they positioned the exit of the hose over the #3 fuel storage tank.   Once in position, the pump doesn’t need any further “aiming”.    Just someone to go out every few hours and pump in more diesel fuel to keep the truck running.    It’s just pumping sea water for now.

I wouldn’t rule that the thing has been there all this time… this was the first video live from the site – which by itself is a hint that things are getting somewhat under control.
