OUTSTANDING! I am just thrilled that you’ve decided to do this…although it’s hard to keep a good man down, but even more difficult to keep a brain like yours silent.
I’ll be glad to “get back to work”.

  2. Jeff Irgens says:

SO VERY glad you decided to keep it going. I used to login, so I think I’m registered.
I will spread the word to non-moochers also.
I’d love to test, but my over 3 yr. old Vista based laptop (that has “stuff” pushed out to it constantly) is SO funky that sometimes a streaming station that worked last week doesn’t work this week, but will work next week, so I’m never SURE if it is the station or my pile of electronics.
Upbeat ending note: my boss has put in a plea for newer laptops with the Powers That Be, so it may make me feel any results I would get testing would be acceptable.
One Last Thought to Consider: The stations I get outside my area (Memphis, but don’t hold it against me) are more reliable than the local streaming station here.
    Once again, Thanks.

  3. Linda S. says:

You have made my day, week and year!!
I will do my best to help.
I have limited time but it will be devoted to this project.
    Thank you!!!

  4. Baldy says:

I am glad you are reconsidering. I am happy to check things when I listen. I truly am thankful for what you do- I get much enjoyment listening to different stations that I can’t get over the air here.

I also find your blog posts interesting, but my brain/mind is not working as well as it should lately… Some of the stuff goes completely over it (technical stuff 😉

  5. Wooley says:

Thank you! I’ll be happy to help.

  6. Tom says:

A quick check in; I’m glad to be among friends and look forward to continuing to pitch in…Fred…I’ll be heading into the formerly unknown wilds of the music stations with joy. Thanks for reconsidering.

  7. Jack in Omaha says:

    THANKS !!!
I’m looking forward to helping keep this site alive.

  8. jpaulwede says:

Thanks for the invite, Fred. It is much appreciated. I will chip in and do my part because I am a frequent user of the site at home and work. Atlas Shrugged is on my to read list; perhaps I should bump it to next.

  9. This is my favorite blog post in recent memory! I enjoy contributing to the site and appreciate everything you do, Fred.

  10. Diane says:

    Love it! Thanks, Fred!

Those who haven’t tackled Atlas Shrugged need to start it now, and those of you in major metropolitan areas where the movie “Atlas Shrugged, Part 1” is playing need to support it so the rest of us will get it distributed in our areas.

    You are a genius, Fred.

  11. DevilsAdvocate says:

I’ve been thinking since I found out you were planning to shut SRG down that you’re like Reardon and had finally given up on taking care of the moochers, but I’m pleasantly surprised to find out you’re really John Galt. Should have expected that of you!

I appreciate the invite. Between school and work, I may not be able to contribute much, but I’ll pass the word along to non-moochers, and I’ll always be around for the blog. Thanks for all of the hard work and time you’ve placed into your corner of the net.

  12. Gerald in AR says:

WooHoo! I didn’t lose you after all. (I had shoulder surgery earlier last week, so have not been online) Again, thanks for all the hard work, effort, and time you invest to maintain one of the most useful sites on the web. You’re at the top of my Bookmarks..

  13. MrC_5150 says:

A note to say hello and thank you for all of your streaming guide information and the work you did to keep it up and running over the past 5-6 years. It has been and is very very useful.

  21. Maisey says:

Phew! Ok, I went to the site, it was gone, followed the blog and made my way here. I’m so glad you reconsidered! I appreciate you 🙂

  22. michael_olcott says:

I certainly will do all i can to help keep this going in whatever way i can. although from what i hear i live in what was the first republic on this Continant, i am also in the rural heart of liberal decay up here so no talk radio other than VPR. not much for people //hermit on the hill type// but Hi All! ps i make typos.

  23. kadamson says:

    Yoohoo!
I’m so happy! I’m good for commenting.

  26. briand75 says:

    Fred,

Hello! I am pleased to be allowed on the “secret” site. Thank you for this opportunity. I believe it will be fun and exciting. I would love to maintain stations as in the past. I will hunt around for the page to do so.

    Wonderful!

    • RightWingWack0 says:

Whew! I pressed the red button and my life is complete again! Thank you for opening the back door, I am in north central minnesota and the Fargo and Mpls stations just don’t come in most of the time so this is my only source for talk radio. Thank you!!!

      • Art Stone says:

Oh no!!! Not the big red button!

I hope Michael Weiner wasn’t sitting in his studio.

        • snolly605tg says:

          Dear Art,

I hadn’t been on your site for a week or so so I was very surprised to see the disappearance of the old site. After clicking around and obeying your instructions to not click on the forbidden button, I finally clicked on the button figuring I had nothing to lose. I was pleasantly surprised.
You should put a PayPal link to charge a reasonable fee. Most people would gladly pay as this the best site for internet streaming.
          Thank you very much.

          Sincerely,
          Snolly605tg

      • RightWingWack0 says:

For finding talk radio on the internet easily that is. There really isnt another site that does this as well as you!!!

  27. bmann says:

Thanks so much for deciding to keep the site up.

It is wonderfully useful and the polls are interesting. I discount much I see in polls as I feel that they are designed for and the questions answered by people that will insure the pools outcome is as designed. Much as life often is. The answers are however entertaining.

    I any case thanks again!

    • Art Stone says:

The polls can be created by anyone. Almost every poll I’ve created offers the option to suggest an answer. Most of the time, I let them through – unless they duplicate an existing answer, have nothing to do with the question that was asked, or are the “cliche” answer without any reason behind it.

  28. aerodyn says:

Thanks so much for the streaming guide. I have been using it every day and even made it my home page. From the comments posted here, it seems that there still is something available, but I haven’t figured it out yet. The last few days I have been spending a lot of time trying to find the streaming stations that I listen to. I was too dumb to bookmark them when I was using them.

please email me at ***** [edited out by editor] of there are anything I can do to help

I think the paypal button makes a lot of sense. Your time has value also.

I’m near Seattle so daytime live is pretty good for Talk shows, but by 6 PM and on weekends there is nothing I want on.

Yes I just go looking for Rush, Laura Ingraham, Michael Medved and sometimes the others but there is so little way to find the repeat shows.

    Hi !

THANK YOU for ALL you do !

  31. Galahad says:

Hello, Fred. I am always keen on joining “secret socitieties.” The SRG was / is a great timesaver. Fortunately, I decided to save a copy of my favorites page so I could go to the pages which hosted the radio shows that presented sane hosts. With so much insanity ruling these days, it is refreshing to listen to like-minded hosts saying the thing I am thinking. Anyway, I could get long-winded here but wont. Thanks for all your hard work.

  32. prboylan says:

Strangely I don’t remember pressing a red button.

See, there was this big tornado yesterday… and I bumped my head… and woke up in an oddly familiar place- and all my friends are here!

Now if I can just resist the urge to look behind the curtain… 🙂

  33. jcauthorn says:

Not really sure how it is that I’m logged in as Jcauthorn or who that is… but thanks for keeping the site up.

  34. wickham says:

I am a producer, not a moocher, and would be pleased to see a Paypal button on the radio site so I could give value for value. I support other favorite, essential sites this way, so why not this one? I am happy to do some testing, if that is the preferred currency. I sincerely hope the secret incarnation of the site lives a long life. I enjoy it, I appreciate it, I use it, I value it. That said, I won’t spend time begging if it disappears again.

  35. brettk says:

Thought I’d stop buy and say “Hi” and “thanks.

  36. JayMar says:

Hey Fred! I am happy you decided to keep the blogs up. This site has been part of my life for the last few years and I have missed the opportunity to vent my frustrations at the state of our country. To old foggies like me venting is therapeutic. So for the sake of my health please keep this site up. Thank you.

  37. Paul-3 says:

Really shocked to log on the other day and seeing it missing! So glad the sites back up and would be willingt to pay. Thanks for putting it back online.

  38. Craig Goodrich says:

Hi. Glad to see the Guide is still up.

Approaching my late ’60s. Libertarian Party candidate for US House, 1996 (AL 5) and 2000 (AL 4); website still up at
http://home.hiwaay.net/~craigg/g4c/ — not updated since the problems have changed only in degree.

    • DeeMarie says:

I was absolutely THRILLED to see that streamingradioguide was still up and running! I felt sad that we would lose this site as I use it so much to listen to good conservative talk radio that I can’t get over the airwaves in my area. Thank you so much for keeping it alive and running!

    • Art Stone says:

My biggest regret is that I didn’t pay attention to events in Yugoslavia. At the time, I was busy trying to hold together NASDAQ with duck tape and WD40 and getting ready for Y2k.

It seems like we have the same people now reading the same playbook. Perhaps the world will pay attention this time.

  39. shortgus says:

    i’m so happy you’re back.

See the greatest movie ever made; Atlas Shrugged. It explains EXACTLY what is going on in America today. Don’t think about it, just go and see it NOW.

  42. hokiereese says:

Thanks Fred! For the site and the community, there is much to do, I agree.

  43. radiojunkie2 says:

    Dear Art:
Just thought is was time once again to say “thank you” for all you do. People like you are rare these days. Just wanted you to know how much you’re appreciated. Thanks again and again and again.

Glad you’re back, happy to be here…

    • Parturo says:

Out of the blue, I decided to see the Atlas Shrugged video you had posted when you shut down. To my great surprise, I see you are back. Awesome. I’m telling you, if I were superstitious, I’d probably say I “felt” your return. Love reading your post and learning the little facts you don’t hear anywhere else. My mornings just got better.

I learned my lesson this time around. I’ll contribute to the blogs.

      • Art Stone says:

I never really left although I seriously considered it – I just had the image distortion device activated – over the period of a few days, I made it more and more obvious that you had to click something to enter the hidden valley.

Much of the reason “why” was to generate a reaction of what it feels like when people “Go Galt” to the people left behind. Ayn Rand was a Russian refugee who was well versed in nihilism as a young woman. While the idea of Atlas Shrugged is attractive on one level, it offered no real solutions. I want to read the book after Atlas Shrugged of how Ayn Rand believes you can restart a successful civilization starting from nothing using her ideas. We may need a book like that some day.

    Hi.
    I’ve rediscovered the streamingradioguide.com site after a long time…
I love the site, and read with horror that it was on the verge of disappearing.
Though I fully understand why one might decide to go Galt, I’m glad the site still exists.

Out of curiosity, what is required to be able to update the “topic” listing for a streaming broadcast?

    Anyway, hi!

    • Art Stone says:

The main requirement is that the show is currently live. That is intended to keep people from not “backing up in time” when they are actually hearing a delayed broadcast or weekend best of show.

If you go to the all streams page for a show you can add comments about the show, but only add a topic during the live time period.

  52. Art Stone says:

So is everyone out enjoying baseball spring training? March Madness?

Hello! I’ve got a question. Chrome browser has suddenly decided to load multiple instances of the same page in the same tab. I right click the back button and see this. To go back to the previous page I have to click through all the instances. The number of instances varies. Right now, on this page, I’ve got a dozen or more. Anyone here have a similar bug? If so, how to fix?? Thanks in advance!!

  56. MrC_5150 says:

    I found this —

    https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=178380

Seems I’m only able to temporarily fix it by disabling and re-enabling ad block plus. Or I can uncheck the “allow some ads” in the ABP settings. Doing that stops the multiple instances here and elsewhere but I have to put up with closing pop-up video ads. It doesn’t happen at every webpage I go to. I remember a similar problem when visiting Amazon and the back button in Chrome not working.

    • CC1s121LrBGT says:

Firefox itself lets you block popups, as does Chrome and IE. If you have that issue with the sites you visit, I’d try uninstalling than reinstalling the blocker. If that doesn’t work, uninstall it and then use a different installer.

I have had good luck with this one http://www.admuncher.com/ It is not a browser ad-on like ABP and it works on all your browsers and chat apps on your PC. It has a free trial period and then a small fee if you decide to keep it.

  57. MrC_5150 says:

I’ll give it (admuncher) a try. Thanks!

  58. Art Stone says:

    You can say hello again!

  59. CC1s121LrBGT says:

Hello again, MrC_5150. You should know that as of about 6 months ago, Admuncher is totally free. The creator said he started it in high school and made enough money from it over the last 15-20 years.
