So let’s say you live in Massachusetts and you’re married and decide it isn’t working out and decide to separate and get a divorce. The parent continuing to live in the home invites a friend over for dinner.
Just then, the SWAT team breaks down the door to arrest the homeowner for “unauthorized dating”. That’s the law that was just proposed
http://reason.com/blog/2014/03/24/bill-would-ban-sex-for-divorcing-parents
Until the property settlement is final and custody established, you’re living by yourself with the kids. We can’t even assume that a friend of the same sex isn’t a “dating relationship “.
So if this law went into effect, would it apply to gay marriages? Be careful what you ask for, you may get it.
Massachusetts being the liberal, and supposedly progressive state it’s gonna be interesting to watch. Doubt seriously it will go anywhere, except to be fodder for anyone wanting to mock Republicans.
“SB 787 was filed by request and [Sen. Ross, R] is not the sponsor of this legislation nor does he endorse it.”
He just did it because a constituent request he file the bill. That’s a move I would call dumb, dumber and dumbest.
Article in the Boston Herald says SB787 is DOA. It was written on behalf of a Robert LeClair who has been pushing it for eight years. Take a look at his picture in the article…he looks like a very disagreeable man!
So you live there – do you accept the explanation that the State Senator is required to submit the bill?

Maybe this was a test post for April 1?
