A number of performances have been canceled following a flight mistake that caused the formation of fighters to fly too low.
When flying in formation, the other planes are maintaining distance from the plane leading the formation, not watching the ground. There have been examples in the past when a precision flying team all crash into the ground in formation.
In this case, the group broke formation and nobody was hurt, but it was enough to cancel future performances.
