I enjoy the irony that the Air Force Base is named Cannon. In the event you didn’t know or don’t wish to look it up, those aircraft are gunships used in the support of special ops. They have a machine gun (cannon) mounted on the port side – the airplane does a slow banked turn on the target area and turns splinters into smaller splinters. The hard part is being sure you aren’t killing Canadians by accident.
