Increasing the minimum wage creates lumpy employment

The story sort of ignores that Seattle may call it the $15 minimum wage, but it isn’t.

Places like Zack’s hamburgers can somewhat survive because some of the employees are family. Let them live in your house and eat free and they may not have the same wage demands as unrelated people. They’re probably also less likely to quit and file for unemployment.
