Whole Foods can’t seem to find enough rich people willing to pay a 200% premium for food because the box says organic. They are looking to calm fears by opening / converting stores to a slimmed down version to compete with Walmart

“It’s about the experience” – that was one premise for Whole Foods. Like a lot of left coast progressives, the trip to Whole Foods is required as it shows you thrive on the experience. Never mind paying a premium for organic foods, it’s the “right” thing to do.
In fact, I am finding more and more organics at my Sam’s Club and Walmart. I shop there for the Sam Walton “experience”. 🙂
No difference than the “Latte Venti” of Starbucks. A good cuppa at home will cost be about $0.18
