38 die (mostly Navy Seals) in Obama’s Smart War

It’s getting toward the end of the Summer fighting season in Afghanistan.   The poppy fields have been harvested, turned into heroin and shipped off to Europe and the United States to kill our chilren and destroy our cities, and in a few months the snow starts to fall.    Time grows short to “crush the Taliban” this year.

Our puppet government has been pushing back that it wants NATO to leave, or at least consult with it before staging raids or bombing targets.    The government of Afghanistan is not and never has been our ally.    The moment you tell them where the US is going to conduct a raid, you guarantee that they’ll know we are coming.   All it took was one RPG to shoot down a transport helicopter operating without ground support.

President Obama doesn’t strike me as the kind of man to admit he made a mistake and cut his losses – he is more likely to “double down” and now want to escalate the war in Afghanistan (and elsewhere).

“Good Morning, Kandahar!!   Hey, this is not a test! This is rock and roll!!”

2009 Nobel Peace Prize, indeed.

Does anyone else find it suspicious that an explosion brought down a helicopter filled with members of Seal Team 6, the group that took out Osama.

There were also a few Afghans on that helicopter, who could have set off a grenade. Additionally, it was a night operation, so an explosive could have been attached to the helicopter prior to takeoff

Sorry I thought the 24 hr burial at sea of osama bin ladin smelled funny. But one lucky taliban with a RPG smells worse than funny. Saddly we as Americans have less acess to the truth than some third world nations now that were being run by aristocacy (congress), and royalty (white house). What is next more fake birth certificates? More hired bloggers to try and refute common people?

I’ve been focused more on the financial markets over the weekend…. from a couple blurbs on the hourly news, they have been saying this was actually a rescue mission – some Army folks got themselves trapped. Of the 30 Americans on board, 22 were Seals. One of their others was a dog handler and his dog. I suspect why the numbeers are not consistent is someone early on counted the dog as a “dead American”.

We absolutely cannot re-elect this man. He is too dangerous for this country. I used to think the Clintons were against the military, but this man takes the cake.

Yesterday a “MSNBC owned” station reporter stated that none of the members of the SEAL team that “took out” Bin Ladin were onboard the helicopter, but then again, it was MSNBC. She did not say which team was on board, just that there were 22 SEAL team members and others, as well as some Afghans.

On John Batchelor last night, they said there are about 200 Seals in total. The Team 6 people (according to them) cost abour $10 million to train and equip…. (or maybe that is for all seals – they weren’t very clear)

Bill Bennett this morning was heading down the path near the end of his show that… this shows that withdrawing is going to create these kinds of problems, so we can’t keep withdrawing.

We didn’t do what is necessary to “win”, so failure is certain. It’s probable the same thing will happen in Iraq as we weaken our presence there.
