I was checking into the claims that the “Rebels’ of the New Libya “Government” are taking over the oil port of Brega. Google offered up this interesting link, which for a few seconds I thought was a current news story,

but it turns out that’s a news story from April 5, 1941. [You can’t read the story without paying for it]. You’ll remember that the US didn’t get into World War II until December, 1941 – but the war was already well underway in Europe and Africa. There are areas of the desert that have never been cleared of the land mines from WW II.
France has said they are into the Libya thing “Until the End”.
Until the end of what?
