About 2 years ago, I wrote a piece after my health scare about the contrast between CVS and WalMart – with WalMart being the prototype for what Obamacare wants health care to look like. My doctor wanted me to go to Walmart, thinking I’m indigent, and wrote the prescription knowing it was on their $10 discount list. (the prescription used to cost less than $10)
So today, I make my trek to the nearby WalMart (it’s only a block away). I was greeted by sounds out front announcing “Get your Flu Shots here”. Right in the entrance was a nursely looking woman in a white smock sitting at a table. It was only a few seconds before she broke out in a spasm of coughing. She wasn’t coughing into a kleenex or even into her arm. Just coughing right out onto the table in front of her.
I thought about walking up to her and asking “Hi, do you have the flu?”… I looked around for “management” and saw none (I found a frozen food item sitting next to the cookies) “See Something – Say Something” – right?
