How President Obama could have guaranteed election in 2012

President Obama would never give this speech – but imagine this speech on the announcement that the war in Iraq is over.

“Good evening, fellow Americans,

Almost a decade ago, as a younger man in the Illinois Senate, I spoke out against the war in Iraq, saying it was a stupid war that we should never have become involved in.

I was wrong.

There are many things you only learn about after you become President of the United States – matters too senstive to discuss in public.   President Bush did what he believed was right, and now from inside the White House, it is clear  why President Bush thought the Iraq war was necessary,

As we now bring home the last of our troops, leaving behind a freely elected Democratic government, I want to thank President Bush for standing by what he believed, and thank all of the men and women of the Armed Services and their families – honoring them today for the personal sacrifices they have made  doing what they and their leaders believed needed to be done.

The war in Iraq is over, Osama Bin Laden is dead.    While we should never celebrate having to go to war,  we can feel proud today as Americans for what we did in Iraq.

America will always have enemies, but this chapter is now ended.  Enjoy your Christmas holiday and let’s start working together in 2012 to get the economy of this country back on track and our friends and family back to work.

Good Night and God Bless America.”

Well, there are not enough “I” words, too many “we” words, and way, way too many “Christmas” and “God” words. Gimme a break already.

The statement suggests an acceptance of responsibility on the part of a) O’BahMah, b) a politician c) an American liberal under 70 none of them understand personal responsibility – that and sugar plumbs are seasonal hallucinations.
