    This may have occurred last week – it was not done via a drone strike. Unclear if it was in Pakistan or Afghanistan.

    U.S. is going to bury him at sea to avoid creating a martyr location for finatics to visit.

    If Al Queda has any weapons up their sleeve, the next few days could be dangerous.

    I hope they wrap him in bacon before dumping his limp body in to the sea. Good riddance is right. May he burn in his muslim hell.

    The place Osama was found is right in the heart of the territory controlled by the Pakistani military and ISI (the Pakistan Internal Security force). This leaves no doubt in my mind Pakistan has deliberately been hiding and protecting him. He wasn’t hiding in the tribal villages, he wasn’t anywhere near the border. He was half way between the capital and the Army’s main teaching school, living among retired Pakistani military officers.

    Someone has some explaining to do (John Batchelor has all his guests on discussing what this means)

      Looks like my crystal ball was wrong as well about UBL hiding out in tribal villages and mountain strongholds.

      Where I wrote in June 2010:
      “Seriously, if we really want to get after the Taliban and Al-Qaeda we’re going to have to invade northern Pakistan and capture or kill the terrorists in their mountain strongholds. That’s a tall order when Pakistan is an ally with nuclear weapons. The current White House and Congress don’t have the stomach for that. So we’ll most likely declare victory and evacuate, making sure the satellite feeds mysteriously go down and stay down so that we don’t see a repeat of the Saigon evacuation on the nightly news.”

      Kudos to the CIA and the US Navy.

    John’s guest indicates this was carried out by “Seal Team 6”, and a helicopter crashed or was shot down, and some serious injuries

    I believe Bin Laden has been dead since 2002 and his body has been on ice since then. Seems to me the timing of this couldn’t be better for Obama. Fist his birth certificate, now Bin Laden. What shocker will we get next…drilling in ANWR…Stay tuned!!!!!!!!

        My point is that this whole scenario is being presented like a Chriss Angel Magic Trick. The event took place several days ago, DNA testing was done, body was dumped into the ocean and then the world is told by Obama “he’s dead”. Now lets all cheer about the event. And by the way, I did listen to Coast and this event was being lauded as a great day for America. Whoa, I have to go, I think I just spotted Jim Morrison outside my window.

          I agree, it’s all a shell game… misdirection & distraction.

          One gaffe after another and then… oh, look who we got!

          People: “Where is Obama, uh Osama… err, the body? ”
          Regime: “We buried it at sea to honor Islamic tradition”.
          People: “So, desert nomads bury their dead ‘at sea’?
          Regime: “You don’t understand, nobody wanted him.”
          People: “Oh? Yes, that is odd… so we’re all safe again?”
          Regime: “No, now we’re really cracking down with worldwide travel alerts and a broad terror threat!”

          This is what it must have been like to deal with the propaganda machine of the USSR and Third Reich.

      My initial reaction was that maybe he was in the freezer for the past 8 months after we stumbled across his corpse after he was bitten by one of those rabid pakistani rats or something. Obama needs a poll bump after the birth certificate fiasco, and what’s more “Amurican!” than being the dude who offs bin Laden? soon we will see pictures of Obama going deer hunting with an ar-15 fitted with a grenade launcher.

    I am guessing 10% of this is correct. (The part about him being dead).
    I just am not buying this portrayal.

      I’m trying to reconcile “Osama was not a Muslim leader” with “we don’t want his burial place to become a shrine”.

      Can Danish cartoonists make cartoons about bin Laden?

    Despite Bloombama News trying all day to promote a stock market rally based on the death of bin Laden, nothing substantial happened in any of the markets. The only exception was silver plunged, but that was due to the exchange tightening margin requirements to reduce the speculative bubble.
