Are you a Privacy “nut job”?

Mark Levin went into a name calling rant against his callers or anyone who thinks government investigators should need probable cause and get a Federal Judge to give consent to conduct an intercept and read your emails.

Attorney Levin, who worked for Ed Meese in the Reagan White House wants to know where all those civil libertarian nut jobs got the crazy idea that there is any “expectation of privacy” in your email messages.

Let me help out Mr Levin – at least one answer is the Electronic Communications Privacy Act

The law was passed in 1986 and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan

At the hearings:

We look forward with particular interest to hearing the views of the Justice Department. When Attorney General Meese appeared before the Judiciary Committee for confirmation, he singled out as one of his top priorities “the safeguarding of individual privacy from improper
governmental intrusion.”

Laws, they don’t obey no stinkin’ laws. We’ve stepped through the looking glass. Everything is reversed.

” Meese, Reagan, Regan, Shultz, Weinberger, Bush, and Poindexter had evidence that this was false. …Nevertheless, Walsh brought no charges against Meese, largely because his office did not know of Meese’s comments at the meeting on November 24 until late 1991, when his staff received access to Weinberger’s and Regan’s notes. Since this was six years later, too many potential witnesses claimed they had little memory of those key events. There was simply not enough evidence to justify prosecuting Meese for his alleged obstruction.”

I stopped listening to Levin when I awoke from my Neo-con coma. An amazing thing happens when you wake up, you can see things without the fantasy-laden yoke of blind-following weighing you down and clouding your vision.

Levin is nothing more than a whining inane drone carrying the water of right-leaning statists.

I had watched Ed Meese and Bush when Reagan was president. “Tramp the Dirt Down” is too good for them. One of Bush’s last acts in office was to pardon his partners in crime.

Mark Levin’s bosses to have taught President Clinton a lesson that he remembered years later:

“President-elect Bill Clinton, at a news conference in Little Rock, Ark., to announce his remaining Cabinet selections, said he wanted to learn more about the pardons, adding, “I am concerned by any action that sends a signal that if you work for the Government, you’re beyond the law, or that not telling the truth to Congress under oath is somehow less serious than not telling the truth to some other body under oath.”
