Joy Covey died in a collision with her bicycle and an Amazon delivery van.
Beyond that irony, the story mentions the 50 year old woman is survived by a young son (adopted?)
Not mentioned in the NY Times story is that after leaving Amazon, she went to work as the Treasurer of the activist environmental group Natural Resources Defense Council.
If you want to see the ecosphere of lazy journalism, see which stories call the NRDC as “national” instead of “natural”. The left doesn’t believe in nations.
Made that mistake:
C/Net
Market watch
NPR
Contra Coastal Times (local paper)
Webpro News
San Francisco Examiner
Monterey Herald
NBC Bay Area
Business Week (aka Bloomberg)
SF CBS TV

KRON TV 4

Hit by an Amazon delivery truck? Now THAT’S ironic.
Someone call Alanis Morissette. She needs to know about this.
Did it say UPS or FedEx on the side?
According to the story, OnTrac

Isn’t it ironic that it’s a story about Joy?
…
or isn’t it ironic that environmental groups often like to save the Amazon?
Not so much since Ray Kroc’s widow gave NPR $200 million
It would be ironic for her to be spotted eating at Burger King. 😉
She’s dead – the guy who had been running NPR schmoozed her to leave the money when she died.
Burger King just announced a new low fat French Fry – it is apparently dusted with some magic powder that keeps the fat away.
The first fast food chain that returns to cooking fries in lard will own the burger business overnight.
Maybe we will be lucky and she will call into Art Bell’s new show this Halloween.
Does he own the trademark on Ghost to Ghost?
Wouldn’t that be a ghostmark?
