Cholesterol drugs don’t work

“Unexpectedly”, the NIH has pulled the plug in a study to test the health benefit from raising “good” cholesterol and/or lowering “bad” cholesterol.

The study was stopped early because not only was there no reduction in heart attacks, it was doubling the risk of stroke – an “unexpected” side effect

The study did confirm that people with a genetic predisposition to have high HDL do have fewer heart attacks, but taking a pill does not create the same effect.
