I’m losing my grip on reality. This is a video of musician Shakira in Morocco at the Mawazine music festival.

Shakira is from Colombia (the country in South America) performing her song “Waka Waka” in English in Morocco in an outfit that would get her stoned to death in much of the Islamic world. Her dance is kind of a white girl’s idea of what people in Africa do in their native dances – it comes off as authentic as Hollywood movies showing Indians using Italian actors.

Well, the Arab Spring wishes the money spent on the festival was being spent on them to buy BMWs to drift race – or something.

One of the “end games” of the Arab Spring might be control of the Straits of Gibralter. Moroccans are Berbers, not Arabs – although they have been living under Islam since 1076 AD
