Following the links to the Nevada Independent American Party sent me on to a video about how Sherrifs need to take the lead in the fight against Federal overreach. Near the end, Mrs Chenowith-Hage speaks, identified as a former US Congressman
I wasn’t familiar with her and thought her face looked a bit odd, so looked deeper.
She was elected in 1994 with the Newt Gingrich Contract With America Freshman class in 1994. She kept her pledge to only serve three terms in Congress and retired back to Idaho.
The biggest irony of her life is how she died. She was thrown from the passenger seat of the SUV she was riding in rural Idaho. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Yearning to be free may mean our life may end prematurely.

She was holding her 5 month old grandchild on her lap. The infant was also thrown from the vehicle, but wasn’t seriously injured. Putting the infant in an appropriate seat was already the law in 2006.

A tragic accident. I am impressed with her accomplishments and I find the irony in her untimely death as Art does. A nation of people like Ms. Chenoweth would be an interesting place.
