Culture Shocks

Barry Lynn is an ordained minister who believes with every ounce of his being that government should stay out of the religion business. His religious affiliation is with the left leaning United Church of Christ. (The college I graduated from is sponsored by the UCC and while on choir tours of the country, I attended services in many of their churches)

I was going through the list of radio programs looking for “dead” shows and saw that Barry Lynn’s Culture Shocks radio show was no longer on any radio stations. Backtracking, the show had been distributed by GCN, the Alex Jones folks. The show is no longer there and it looks like production ceased in 2013.

I was curious if there was any press release, or if he just got old and unable to do the show. To my surprise, he was in front of Congress about a week ago

Raw Story video

There he is in from of Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX) being lectured about his obligation as a “good” Christian to convince non-Christians that they are going to hell if they don’t convert to Christianity. He’s pointing at a copy of a pocket New Testament, or maybe his Pocket Constitution. It might even be a pocket Quran – the type is too small to read in the video.

If the name Louie Gohhmert sounds vaguely familiar, it probably means you’re a Glenn Beck listener. Gohmert has been vocal about wanting to use government pressure to force TV aggregators to carry The Blaze.

off topic: a few months back, we had talked about

Well, I have sampled the Chris Plante show a few times and Mary Katherine Ham has been either the guest host or the co-host. I wonder whether she is a permanent part of the show. If so, she is a conservative talker born in the 1980s, much like Andrea Tantaros, a conservative talk show host born in the late 1970s.

    • Nidster says:

Chris is off on a jaunt around the world. Word is, “he is coming back.” so it probably won’t be a “Rusty Humphries” situation.

MKH has been doing OK, she’s had a few ‘sidekicks’ and various and nefarious guest on the program to help her carry the show. I wouldn’t hold it against her that she has not evolved beyond the 70’s way of thinking, it’s still has a few valid points.

      • CC1s121LrBGT says:

After posting that above, I did hear MKH say Chris will be back. He was away last week too. I had seen her on Fox or Fox Business and liked her. I had no idea she could host a talk show. I recommend listening as long as she is on… you can always catch Glenn (two ‘n’s 😉 ) Beck in the afternoon on one of the stations listed here on Art’s site.

      • Nidster says:

So long as we are in an “Off Topic” mode please consider the following:

Some of the stolen loot from WWII made its way into the Vatican Bank and it formed a secret reserve of ‘off-the-books’ finance, which was transformed into being the basis of a hidden system of finance to fund covert operations and black projects by President Truman in 1947 (a 33rd degree Mason), and it was also the year of Admiral Byrd’s return from Antarctica and his ‘strange’ encounters with some smarty pants Germans, which was also the year of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which was also the year of the famous UFO sighting by Kenneth Arnold, which was also the year of the infamous Roswell UFO crash, which was also the year the CIA and NSA were instituted by President Harry Truman who signed the National Security Act which created agencies such as the NSA.

All the above is/was just mere coincidence, please, just go about your business as there is nothing amiss, nor is there anything to learn here, since al-Obama and the RINO’s will handle things for us from here on out.

Oh, and please don’t pay any attention to Pope Francis’ recent statements about baptizing extraterrestrials that might just happen to show their face in this part of the Universe, which of course has nothing to do with the mysterious death of Roberto Calvi who was discovered hanging by a rope from London’s Blackfriars’ Bridge in London on 18 June 1982, because the Vatican Bank is flush with gold and other loot that has been collected down through the ages. Your money is still good.

Of course none of the above has nothing to do with any infamous Gladio operations. Pope Francis the ‘Infallible’ has indicated that only Vatican employees, religious institutions, orders of priests and nuns and Catholic charities are allowed to have accounts at the [Vatican] bank, regardless the fact investigators have found that a number were being used by outsiders and/or that legitimate account holders were handling money for third parties.

Not to worry people, Vladimir Putin’s visit with the pope last year has nothing, nor anything at all to do with this turn of events, which is coming on the heels of the Banksters’ involvement with the Cypriot banking scandal last year, and the numerous ‘suicides’ of Banksters around the world.

        All just mere coincidence.

Over the weekend, the Bank for International Settlement warned central banks to stop flooding the world with money and start raising interest rates. The BIS has a different function than the World Bank (welfare for poor countries) and the IMF. It is the bank for central banks – it is less about global monetary policy (like the IMF) but more about the actual mechanics of “settling up” between central banks and sitting on 200 tons of gold supposedly backing the central banks own accounts.

What I didn’t know about the BIS was its role before and during WW2 to protect German assets in “neutral” Switzerland. After the war, FDR and the British liquidated the bank – but after the Bretton Woods conference, they decided not to dissolve it after all, but instead use it in the post war international banking system. Their primary function seems to be to enforce rules on the quality of assets

I wonder if the BIS was telegraphing Russia’s actions to disconnect from the UE

          • Nidster says:

Good analysis on the BIS, but it was mostly done to protect the Bankster class rather a specific country, which is why the Swissies are protected. I mean they control the money supply, and who doesn’t need money?

Not clear on this, “I wonder if the BIS was telegraphing Russia’s actions to disconnect from the UE”. Do you mean the EU? Maybe.

Russia announced on April 8, 2014 their intention to de-couple from the US Dollar.

China announced April 6, 2014 the re-opening of the old Silk Road as a new trading route linking Germany, Russia and China that will bring huge benefits to Central Asia.

Gold analysts claim China and Russia together have now accumulated about 40,000 tons of gold reserves.

Both countries are dumping their US Treasuries using them to buy physical assets, like gold. So, who knows, maybe the alchemists have found a way to turn base metals into gold and there a lot more gold than most people know about.

Anyways, surely the BRICSA nations do not want a collapse to happen overnight, but if the Petro-Dollar is weakened substantially, and if interest rates start to rise that does not bode well for America, especially the middle class. Plus, America is losing small businesses at an increasingly rapid rate under al-Obama.

To me, it increasingly looks like The Plan is to demolish the middle class. The would have a huge lower class, a few middle managers to deal with the lower class, and the elite can keep calling the shots. Why other Plan could there be given the fact that they want to flood the country with low-to-no-skill illegals?

            • Art Stone says:

              Yes, the EU 🙂

            • Art Stone says:

My friend in California declared that the Dollar was going to collapse on July 1st because of new IRS reporting requirements on Americans holding assets in foreign banks.

I really wish people would stop forwarding nonsensical chain letters on the Internet, but I know that’s just a fantasy. We made in for a big problem, but it isn’t because tax cheats are going to pull their money out of swiss bank accounts.

            • Nidster says:

Just to follow-up a bit more on Russia’s actions and do they intend to disconnect from the EU? No, not really.

As noted above, China does a lot of trade with Germany, who is the world’s 4th largest economy. No, what is going on is an attempt by BRICSA to gradually ascend to be the world’s power brokers bringing about security and stability to the world that is increasingly shunning America. To launch their own basket of local currencies, their own bank clearing system, their own internet, their own credit card system, and so on and so forth.

              “Bye, bye Ms. American Pie.”

Heard some Glen Beck today for the first time in many months. Months ago, Glen was a proud new libertarian and shocked the people would not believe him and think that he was just playing a character for ratings. Glen had had libertarian Republican Rand Paul on his show as a guest many times in the last year.

Today, Glen Beck was shocked shocked, shocked, I tell you – to learn that Senator Rand Paul does not want to double down in Iraq.

Glen sounded as libertarian today as he does trying to compel cable carriers to send him monthly checks.

    • Nidster says:

Glen Beck has issues, I believe he wants to do the right thing and all that jazz, but I think Stu has been leading him astray. Glenn hasn’t been ‘hittin the bottle’ again, has he?

    • Art Stone says:

Glenn (two Ns damn it!) has some huge internal conflicts. At the same time he was cozying up to papa Ron Paul, Ron was appearing on Alex Jones saying he thought there was enough evidence to have a second 9/11 hearing – not done by the same people who made decisions that my have invited the attack and whitewashed their role. I don’t think Ron Paul is a 9/11 “truther”, but he is open to the idea the government has materially misled the public.

Immigration is another problem area. Prior to the end of World War One, the laws limiting immigration were very limited. You had to be screened for diseases and demonstrate someone wanted to employ you or take financial responsibility for you. After 7 years of living here, if you stayed out of trouble, learned English and showed you understood the US government, you became a naturalized citizen. This roughly mirrored the practice of Indentured Servitude that was outlawed after the Civil War. That was the extent of the limits on immigration.

It was the Woodrow Wilson Progressives who turned immigration into a cultural filter. They had two main objectives – one was Eugenics. Progresives held the view that Science showed government to have an affirmative obligation to “weed out” weak genetics like Russian Jews, Romanian Gypsies, Eastern Europeans and blacks. Limiting immigration of “those types” of people became the basis to limit immigration to only the types of people already here (English, Italians, Germans, Irish )

The second objective for limiting immigration was labor unions. Henry Ford and others were coping with labor shortages by importing workers from Lebanon and Syria. Those workers wanted nothing to do with joining unions. They knew Ford had the power to send them back “home”. As the door was slammed on immigrants, that triggered the Great Northern Migration of blacks and poor whites to go North to work at Fords and the steel mills.

Freedom of capital and workers to migrate where it can be used most effectively is a fundamental Libertarian principle. A person who wants to use tariffs, regulations and the like to block free trade have missed the Libertarian boat. The problem with Mexican immigrants is the US government created huge incentives that encourage them to come here when there is little economic reason for it. Things like a $15 minimum wage are just further distorting the natural economic ebb and flow. It’s not a coincidence that high minimum wages are one of the top priorities of labor unions.

      • CC1s121LrBGT says:

“The second objective for limiting immigration was labor unions. Henry Ford and others were coping with labor shortages by importing workers from Lebanon and Syria.”

Today it is the tech industry importing worker and exporting work to Asians.

Same deal. The “consulting” company sponsors the indentured servant for a green card and the servant is unable to resign for the years that it takes the federal government to process the paperwork. Resigning cancels the application where the employer certifies that not one of the 300,000,000 people already in the USA is able to perform the job.

      • CC1s121LrBGT says:

The average specialist medical doctor in the USA makes $230,000. per yer. The same person in Mexico makes $25,000. per year. (less than 11 % of salary of USA specialists)

Obama is letting in the wrong Mexicans – do we really need more landscapers for the McMansion owners?

        • Nidster says:

The recent news of the tens of thousands of immigrant children being ‘invited’ into America by Team al-Obama and having them shuttled into military bases or other similar places brings to mind the strategy of taking young minds full of mush and molding them into (fill-in-the-blank-here). I do not believe they are coming into the country in order to work for the rich.

Did you know it was those smarty pants Germans who first discovered that by mentally stressing a person’s mind to the breaking point, one could then create within the person a separate and different personality that can be programmed to do almost anything? The Bourne Identity movie comes to mind as an example of what can be done.

Truth is there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people running around with multiple personalities, each one of which has been tasked with a specific role to perform. The personality can be hidden until the handler(s) desire that personality to surface.

This kind of thing is scary to say the least, because these people with multiple personalities can function as normal people. They are certainly people in the military, police force, and positions of authority who function normally on a day to day basis. They are constantly being trained to do certain tasks.

Truth is, it is very easy to ‘program’ a young child’s mind, more so than it is to train older, mature people. Now one could ascribe good motives to the persons who are actively engaged in this ‘work’, but the truth is far worse than many people could imagine. I say that because the good people who frequent this blog are by and large good, decent people.

The event that is coming down the pike is beyond the imagination of the vast majority of people in the world, but suffice it to say it will be nightmarish. When? Well, that’s something no one has been able to predict. The turn of events that has me concerned are the large numbers of children being welcomed into America, and for the most part they have no parent or relative to care for them. Naturally the children can not be left to roam the streets since they would be easy prey for deviants. No, the humane thing to do is to feed, house and educate them at the least. The reality is most of these children will become wards of the state. It really is an ingenious idea, in a Machiavellian sort of way.

The timing here is suspicious to say the least. Just as al-Obama has reached new lows in term of popularity, and the American people are increasingly disillusioned with their government, what better time to prepare for the endgame? I do not think for a minute that these children are going to become trained as assassins like we see in the movie, The Bourne Identity. There are plenty of mature, well trained police and military to fill that role. But, it is curious to think what could be done with all those ‘minds full of mush’ within a couple of years.

Does anyone here remember or even know about the “Night of the Long Knives”? OK, you’re free to think whatever it is you care to think about this subject.

Here is a review from a so-called “Christian” “news” “service”.

Notice they put “minister” and “pastoral” in quotes.

    • Nidster says:

      OK, getting your drift here,,,,,,

I remember a most popular talk show host who opined that he would (paraphrasing here) more readily believe al-Obama was an extra-terrestrial entity as opposed to al-Obama being a ‘Christian’ who sat in the pew absorbing the ‘pastor’ Jeremiah Wright’s sermons, and who supposedly and innocently entertained known and convicted terrorists, Bill and Bernadette Ayers in his home back in Chicago, which was purchased through a transaction that was found to have been illegally financed because the transaction was tainted by an unscrupulous and well known criminal who was subsequently convicted of criminal wrongdoing.

Anyways, the point being I understand a person best not stand in the line-of-fire between the believer and the non-believer, no matter the subject matter being discussed, which brings up the al-Obama quote that to him the most beautiful sound in all the world was the “Islamic call to prayer.” But, who am I to criticize or pick at the smallest detail?

Did you read my post regarding the Homunculus and the Homunculi? Not that I believe Rep. Louie Gohmert falls into that category, no, not him, but perhaps others. Anyway, I remember when Louie was fillin-in for the Leprechaun, I mean Sean of course, over the past holiday season, Louie sounded quite coherent, reasonable and on-track. So, are his views that far “off-world” that they need to be dissected for hidden meanings? No.

I think his views are a bit ‘off’ and not strictly my own, and it is refreshing to know that with regard to the scope of all that swirls around us, I fully understand that Louie doesn’t rule over us, nor do his beliefs scare me that much, despite any protestations that unless a persons believes exactly as others do then ‘watch out’.

Anyways, not to worry. Well, not to worry too much unless there’s that one little thing, just a little idea that nonetheless has been pestering me, which I’ve predicted could occur if we all get out of the present situation alive and well, which if that ‘thing’ takes hold amongst the populous is an idea that I have referred to in prior posts as the “Great Backlash”.

So, if that idea takes hold, then as I’ve noted in other places that it could, or should warrant special attention with regard to finding a discreet location where Google has little to no coverage.
