Egypt won’t turn the gas pipeline back on

Egypt has natural gas resources – it feeds that into a pipeline owned by a company called Gasco that goes through the Egypt controlled Sinai Desert, through Israel, and continues on to Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon – and will eventually go to Turkey.   Shortly after the Egypt “revolution”, the pipeline was blown up in the Sinai Desert several times.    The pipeline to Israel is under the water and was not affected, but the gas was turned off to repair the damages.

Just before the Egypt Revolution, Israel announced that it has made a huge natural gas discovery in the Eastern Mediterranean, which means they will not be dependent on Egypt in the future

Look for Israel to become the world leader in the technology for natural gas powered cars.   Because the Arabs won’t sell oil to Israel and/or Israel doesn’t want to be dependent on Arab oil, Israel imports its oil from Russia.
