The Trap

I’m shocked that nobody in the news media has mentioned this yet – the trap is just sitting there waiting for the formal accusation against Russia.

Based on what we know, everything points to the idea that Russia provide a sophisticated surface-to-air missile system and that a missile – probably not guided by sophisticated radar required by the system – shot down the Malaysian Airliner – the people on the ground believing that they were shooting down a Ukrainian government cargo plane.

In 1988, while Ronald Reagan was president, the USS Vincennes – a state-of-the-art aegis cruiser with the most sophisticated radar and missile systems the United States had at the time – shot down an Iranian civilian airliner over the straits of Hormuz. The A300 Airbus, which would’ve been a huge echo on radar and was actively identifying itself as a civilian aircraft – inside the designated air corridor on a normally scheduled flight – was shot down killing all 290 persons on board. The US military claim that it thought it was shooting down an American built F-14 highbred by the Iranian Air Force – left over from the pre-revolutionary era American funded military buildup of the Shah of Iran.

Be cautious for reclaiming the moral high ground.

The trap – provocation for a war? I don’t know if our administration is that sophisticated. These are the “smart” people who tweeted (Undersecretary of State)some nonsense followed with a hash tag about supporting Gaza and who don’t know when a microphone is hot (John F Kerry).

Universities have been teaching their students that Palestinians are a just cause and the victims of Israel. Support for Israel among the Obama bots might be weak. Clearly, that’s the view of some of Obama’s inner circle.

Today’s cautious government statements are there is no solid evidence that Russia provided assistance to the rebels. Ukraine had these weapons and the rebels may have gotten control of one of them.
