The changing face of Conservative talk

First the routine disclaimer – interest here is not necessarily the same as for radio in general. People searching for a show not available on their local radio will show higher interest.

With Dennis Miller and Roger Hedgecock gone, the pickings are getting pretty slim. The most significant thing I see is Savage is totally crushing Hannity, and Glenn Beck is in serious decline. Mainstream Conservative talk is now Bennett / Ingraham / Limbaugh / Savage / Levin and John Batchelor.

That is interesting. I would expect political talk in general to pick up again as the election approaches. It seems there are more local talk shows now… perhaps in a cost cutting move, or in a response to the high average age of the national talkers.

I totally agree with this list Pags belongs on the bottom. There does not seem to be much of any newcomers to replace some of the greats that have left the medium, the future of conservative talk radio looks bleak for now.

And that’s the weekend show, not America Now with Joe Pags during the week.

Chad Benson is no Bill O’Reilly

Listened to maybe an hour of Savage. He called Republicans a gang of thugs, and thinks Rush Limbaugh and his listeners talk about the global [Jewish] banking conspiracy and the Bilderbergers. The more clear Savage is that his goal is to destroy Republicans and Conservatives, the more people are drawn to him. His show is an enema wrapped inside a bagel. I don’t get it.
