Live from Colorado, 24 hour a day talk about Marijuana.
This has existed for a while – it’s a real live radio station, talking about pot 24 hours a day. Pick up a bag of Doritos and enjoy!

FWIT- from their program schedule “2am: Dr. Holly….” lol
A new P1!
It was already yanked from the actual radio as of May 15. It was on air for about a month.
Colorado Springs radio station dumps marijuana programming but will keep it online
I think that is the trend in radio. Even though the FCC gives away the broadcasting spectrum and charges the cell companies for spectrum, programming it moving from the legacy free spectrum to the spectrum that puts money in the US Treasury – the cell phone networks.
Interesting all this talk about infrastructure – rather than spending on it, the federal government auctions off the right to build it and the local governments say “not in my backyard” with your cell tower.
Shocked. Just shocked that the rest of the world is catching up.
Radio stations do pay an annual fee. The FCC is talking about changing the way it is calculated – radio pays more than TV, which is misleading as there are 15000 radio stations and around 850 TV stations.
If the FCC raises billions by a spectrum auction, your cell phone company has to charge enough to pay for it. This arrangement protects politicians from being accused of voting for a “tax increase”. In “lesser developed” countries, cell service is much less expensive because people couldn’t pay for it.
When I was a kid, there was a low powered college radio station that had a summer program for teenagers to host a one hour radio show as part of summer camp.
Today I got a brochure for a summer program for local pre-teenagers. One offering it Internet Radio. The description reads:
“11:00-1:00 Cost: $110
Broadcast your voice over the Internet for the world
to hear! Participants will produce a daily Internet
radio show, which will broadcast over the web each
day. Each show will focus on a different theme
including jingles, stingers, current events, and a
good old-fashioned fictional “War of the Worlds”-
style radio story.”
Another great idea goes up in smoke
That pun was just too obvious.
If they start doing a swap shop program, that could be very interesting
A “budding” comedian. 😉
The station was just sold. Maybe the DEA agents are making someone nervous

Not to worry – another all pot station has arrived
http://www.smokin941.com/
This is an AM station with an FM translator. Bubba the Love Sponge will be carried in Denver on this station. America is going to pot.
