Meet the new NC GOP Chairman

The 12th Congressional District is the Voting Rights Act district that connects blobs of black neighborhoods from Charlotte to Durham to guarantee a safe black Democratic district. What he doesn’t mention is his candidate didn’t win (I’m shocked!). However, infighting within the Democrats ended up electing an unimpressive woman from Durham – leaving the black Democrats in Charlotte with a Congressman whose office and home are a three hour drive from Charlotte.

Will they suddenly become Republicans? If they did, would the memories of Yankee “carpet baggers” coming South and using former slaves to loot the South cause Whites to return to being members of the Democratic KKK past?
