During its final days, the Security Director of Trump’s Taj Majal casino was indicted for promoting prostitution.
The outcome

Will “good Christians” really overlook that he made money from gambling, selling booze and permitting prostitution in his hotel? What are the chances there were illegal aliens working there? Did Trump demand or get government subsidies? How many seniors blew their life savings riding in buses to go to Atlantic City?
Of course, Trump has no involvement with the casino since declaring bankruptcy in 2009 – but retained 10% ownership

Trump has no history of being a Republican. If you like Michael Bloomberg, you’ll love Trump. In 2012, Herman Cain was the distraction – a person with zero chance of becoming president who was used to distract attention away from the real candidates.
Among people Trump gave money to (per the FEC) were Joe Lieberman, Chris Dodd, Mark Shriver, Hillary Clinton, Arlen Specter, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Charles Rangel, Joe Biden, Dick Durbin, Anthony Weiner… Those are only the best known
Republican? Really?
(he did also give money to John McCain and Mitch McConnell)
Who knows? Maybe as he’s getting older, he’s getting wiser. I’d still vote for him before I vote for Pillory.
While Trump is dancing on the stage, the real candidates are quietly doing real work. While Trump has the option of spending his own money to not have to raise campaign money, a real campaign needs also organization and people – especially in caucus states. How many Trump supporters would even know where to go and how the process works? Who runs the voting process? Who sends the vans to the nursing homes to bring in the Alzheimer’s patients to vote?
In primaries, the parties make the rules. Let’s say by some miracle he wins the primary – are the establishment Republicans going to help elect him on the platform of throwing the Establishment out of power?
Feel free to enjoy your emotions, but don’t lose site of the big picture. Is Trump lining up House and Senate candidates so he has a ruling coalition after the election? Could he scare control of Congress back to the Democrats?
I am not a Trump supporter. I support one of the other anti-establishment candidates and Trump is sucking all the oxygen out of the room and hurting his poll numbers. Having said that, when Trump does make insightful comments, he often does not get much coverage. For example, I happened to see the quote below on live TV. It has gotten very little press. (From http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/08/15/trump-iraqi-officials-crooks-jebs-skin-in-the-game-remark-dumb/ )
Quoting:
Trump said of Jeb, “he made statements over the last couple of days that are incredible, trying to justify the war in Iraq, can’t be justified. And then he said ‘skin in the game.’ I don’t know if you saw his recent statement, he said the United States has to prove to Iraq that ‘we have skin in the game.’ We’ve spent $2 trillion, thousands of lives lost, wounded warriors, who I love, all over place, and he said we have to prove that ‘we have skin in the game.’ I think it may be one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard, ‘skin in the game.’ We don’t have to prove anything. First of all, the Iraqi officials are a bunch of crooks, if there even is an Iraq, which, I don’t think there is. Iran is taking over Iraq. It was one of the dumbest things ever. And I think what happened, because I understand psychology, I think his brother probably said, ‘Hey, you’re killing me.’ That was his war, and he looks very bad. So this — so Jeb Bush tried to push back. But when he said we have to prove to Iraq that ‘we have skin in the game,’ and we’ve lost all of those lives, and all of that money, I think he should apologize to the families of the people.”
I think Benjamin Netanyahu is the primary influence on Jeb in Middle East issues, not his brother. Trump won’t touch that with a 10 foot pole, even if he had one.
How could Trump discuss the failure in Iraq and not mention President Obama?
Evidently he did but the press didn’t pick up on that. The only mention that I found of it from that day was in this CBS News video clip.
This is worth watching in its entirety (22 minutes) but the answer to your question is provided by Fournier starting at 14:00 on Bush/Trump including his question question at 14:45. http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/full-political-panel-august-16/
Check out Mark Halperin’s “no bullshit” analysis in the first two minutes on Trump. Also check out Ron Fournier and Halprin interactions beginning at the 6:20 minute mark.
Lastly, check out what Fournier says when he talks about Hillary at 17:00 – Clearly Fournier is deeply personally troubled and torn by what he is saying but feels his loyalty lies with the truth.
