Radio Goldfeld is gone

Back in April, I wrote about the unusual case of Senator Harry Reid putting pressure on the FCC to give an FM license to a person who had ignored the FCC licensing rules

A month later, an application was filed with the FCC to “go silent” citing “equipment failer” as the cause.

The Web Site for Radio GoldFirld explains the outcome

“Radio Goldfield is gone. Like the town of Goldfield itself, the radio station is nothing much more than history.

From the high desert.. goodbye.”
