The Cleveland battlefield

There is little mystery what to expect in Cleveland as Republicans meet to choose who will replace Barack Obama as President.

To the North of downtown is Lake Erie, the football stadium and the convention center.

The public square is the focus of downtown. The Terminal Tower (large white building) is where all of the cities subway lines and bus routes meet. Next door to the east is the horseshoe Casino. Quicken loan Area is about 2 blocks South, an easy riot distance from access via the public transit routes.

Trump’s rally today in Cleveland is at the International Exposition Center out by the airport. It has 2,400,000 ft.², 10,000 parking spaces, and substantial security. It would be a much better choice of venue for the GOP convention – but they probably would want to be paid to use it
