Disqus experiment

About three years ago, I experimented briefly with the Disqus commenting system.

I think I have it set up now that each radio station has its own thread. It’s hard to say what people may post. I frequently get PSA requests and people pitching songs for AirPlay, no matter how aggressively I try to tell people I’m not a radio station.

So feel free to tell your station they suck.

Two comments this morning. Part of the reason is to understand how disqus moderation works. The first comment went to the moderation queue by itself. It was advocating medical marijuana, and it was not from cc

I don’t advocate medical marijuana or any marijuana at all. I am allergic to smoke.

I do advocate putting people to work rather than in prison cells – should the government (at all levels in total) take half of every dollar you earn? Should these people be on welfare when they come out because they have a felony record and no one can hire a convicted felon without putting their business at risk?

I have a brother who has used marijuana recreationally for 40 years. If you met him, you would see a commercial for never legalizing marijuana at all. He is a walking science experiment gone awry.

Yes and no. Be glad that he didn’t use heroin or cocaine to feed his addiction. I’ve know some people like that too and I also know some that have had trouble with alcohol. None of it is good but there are some alternatives that are lethal.

My college roommate is on OxyContin after four failed back surgeries. He can’t stand up straight and can’t walk more than 100 feet. Why he wants to become a woman at 60 years old at Medicare’s expense is beyond my comprehension.
