It turns out Omar was a well known regular at the bar. He had been there many times over years, and contacted gay men over using a gay chat app.
His first wife says Omar is bi-polar. It would be shocking! if he was on medication. His current wife and mother of his child is refusing to cooperate with police. There are hints that an arrest is imminent of an accomplice. She is the logical candidate.
The short time between buying the guns and using them suggests something recently changed. Maybe it was ISIS and Ramadan – maybe it was his wife threatening to tell his father or the mosque that Omar was gay.
Odd how there is a pattern of crimes committed by devout Muslims who enjoy going to bars and getting drunk.
By the way, it was Latin night at the bar, which is why so many of the dead have Hispanic names. Hispanic and black are not mutually exclusive, especially in Florida.

NY post story adds that Omar’s dad had accused him of being gay in front of his ex-wife. His friends say the idea that Omar would be upset seeing two men kiss was “bull crap”
I’m thinking maybe it was dad who was upset…
The result of the tragedy:
Hillary wants to ban people from buying guns.
Trump wants to ban Muslims from entering the country.
We still have three positions open for politicians to support.

There is no proposed legislation that would have prevented this shooting ( Chris murphy Dem' Connecticut). This guy was renewed every year for a security clearance by his Gov Contractor and the sheriffs Dept. in the county surrounding Orlando. If he passed these checks how the hell does he get put on a govt watch list?

One of the charges is because he was transporting explosives on a highway. Tannerite (shoc shot) is a binary agent. It is completely inert until the two components are combined. Once activated, the only way to make it explode is to shoot it with a high velocity projectile. Its purpose is to let a shooter know they hit a target on a gun range. In my mind, I view lesbians and gay men as fairly fundamentally different. Women bonding seems more rational – in human history, men usually were mostly the ones killed in wars, leaving an imbalance of women to men. Women shared in raising and protecting each other when the men were away. Men being sexually active with each other usually pops up where few women are available for extended periods of time.
