Liberia is turbulent at the moment. There is infighting between the mixed race Anero-Africans descended from Americans who have run the country since its creation and the native tribes. Things have calmed down a bit in the last year or two, but the racial divide will remain there whenever someone wants to exploit it again. I would not be shocked if Mr Kotay voted for Trump.
